Since 2007, dena has been presenting the prestigious ‘dena Energy Award’ (formerly the ‘Energy Efficiency Award’) to recognise outstanding energy efficiency and climate protection projects carried out by national and international private or public companies. The aim is to bring particularly successful implementation projects in the fields of energy efficiency, renewable energies and climate protection to the forefront of public and professional interest. The focus is on projects that are already energy-efficient and climate-friendly, as well as those designed for the long term. In addition, the dena Energy Award recognises innovative concepts relating to these topics.
Our approach
The specific design of the award is further developed and adapted every year. The aim is to motivate other companies to implement solutions in their own sphere of influence. The projects receiving the award demonstrate clearly how a contribution to reducing energy consumption and harmful emissions can be achieved locally. They act as a showcase for creative approaches and measurable successes as well as an inspiration for other players. The award is under the patronage of Dr Robert Habeck, who is currently the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
