Our approach
Important issues relating to energy efficiency and climate protection in the field of buildings can be dealt with quickly and professionally thanks to a framework agreement between the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development, dena as the main contractor and the group of partners. In this manner, studies, analyses, calculations and recommendations can be produced in an effort to inform politicians. The expertise and specialist knowledge of the partners ensures first-class scientific work.
Our mission
The goal is to create a climate-neutral building stock in Germany by 2045. To this end, the German government has launched numerous measures and programmes and will adopt further measures to achieve the building sector targets specified under the German Climate Protection Act (Klimaschutzgesetz – KSG). It may turn out for many of the instruments that it is important in the ongoing process to analyse their impact or optimal design and to submit proposals for their technical, ecological and social design. To this end, dena provides consulting and support services to the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development, together with its partners FIW Munich, ITG Dresden, Becker Büttner Held PartGmbB (BBH) and Heimrich & Hannot GmbH (H&H).
