We are ambassadors of the energy transition
The Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena) considers itself to be an independent innovator and pioneer of the energy transition – nationally and internationally. We want our work to contribute to its success and to global climate protection.
Our guiding principles are the three-pronged energy policy of environmental compatibility, security of supply and affordability as well as the internationally agreed climate protection targets.
We work on solutions in dialogue with all groups in society and also develop and evaluate solution strategies and suitable instruments.
We encourage all those involved to consistently engage in constructive, critical and intensive dialogue in the interests of the energy transition.
We design change
We focus equally on energy efficiency, renewable energies and the sustainable transformation of the energy system. To this end, we rely on an openness to technology and a market environment that is receptive to innovations.
We provide the necessary catalysts, develop standards and promote the development of a sustainable energy system with our studies, pilot projects, platforms and initiatives.
As a think tank, we develop strategies, and as an agency for the applied energy transition, we want to promote framework conditions and innovations that contribute to the sustainable and long-term optimisation of the energy system.
We support all stakeholders who use innovative, market-oriented solutions and advise politicians on the development of suitable market and incentive structures.
We attach great importance to the greatest possible transparency and openness to results when implementing our projects.
We pool knowledge and experience
We pursue our goals with great commitment and have excellent technical, business, communication and social skills. Specialists with a variety of qualifications from different nations work in interdisciplinary teams on innovative projects at dena.
In international projects, we contribute to the global transfer of knowledge and technology and the exchange of experience. We are therefore engaged in an intensive dialogue with our partners both in Europe and around the world on perspectives, strategies and solutions.
