Our mission

Cybersecurity in the electricity industry is constantly increasing in importance. It is a cost-intensive and complex process for companies to ensure cybersecurity. Funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), the Cybersecurity in the Electricity Industry platform (in German: ‘Cybersicherheit in der Stromwirtschaft’) aims to support companies along the value chain of the electricity industry.

Our approach

The project is developing an institutionalised format for dialogue between the electricity, digital and cybersecurity industries. The support on a technical level ensures that a cross-sector expertise and knowledge base is created in the topic area of cybersecurity. The project is specifically intended to encourage dialogue. This exchange reduces the uncertainties of stakeholders. At the same time, the platform offers the opportunity to include current topics and developments in the discussion. To this end, regular meetings of the partners and workshops are held. Brief export reports and metastudies are prepared as part of the project to analyse selected topics in greater depth.
