Centre of Expertise for Energy Efficiency through Digitalisation in Industry and Buildings (KEDi)

KEDi shows solutions for energy efficiency through digitalisation, intensifies the dialogue and accompanies political processes

Our mission

In Germany, the industry and building sector consumes two-thirds of all energy. Energy efficiency in the two sectors has untapped potential for improvement. Digital technologies in industry and buildings are a key factor here, making it possible to record and analyse processes in detail. Digitalisation makes it possible to visualise energy flows and the need for optimisation and make them understandable. It is estimated that there is a savings potential here of up to 30 per cent.

With KEDi, dena has established a nationwide central hub in Halle an der Saale. This centre of expertise encourages market players in the industrial and building sector to use digital technologies. The goal is to increase energy efficiency.
