SET Award 2024: dena announces winners
Berlin, Germany, 20 March 2024. The presentation ceremony of the international Startup Energy Transition Award has been a highlight of the SET Tech Festival in Berlin for eight years. The SET Award helps promote innovative ideas and solutions for a sustainable energy future while driving forward the energy transition. Pioneering startups were honoured with the award in five different categories at the event yesterday evening: Clean Energy & Storage, Mobility & Transportation, Industry, Buildings & Construction and Quality Energy Access & SDG-7. The award ceremony was attended by international startups, investors and prominent guests from politics and business.
Corinna Enders, Chairperson of the Management Board at dena, emphasised the importance of the SET Award by saying ‘the SET Award not only recognises outstanding innovations, but is also a key driver of the energy transition. We are sending a strong signal for the urgently needed transformation of our energy system by recognising and supporting promising startups. This award not only encourages the winning recipients, but also inspires the entire industry to develop and promote innovative solutions in order to shape a sustainable future together. The recipients of the 2024 SET Award
The five startups receiving the award were announced live from the WECC in Berlin, Germany, and will each receive prize money of €10,000 for their respective venture. They will also take part in the SET Panel of the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue (BETD) on 20 March.

Magnotherm technology is based on solid magnetocaloric materials, magnets and water, and has the potential to revolutionise cooling worldwide. It increases efficiency by up to 40 per cent and completely eliminates refrigerant gases, thereby avoiding direct greenhouse gas emissions.
