Terms and conditions of attendance at paid events

1. Scope of application of the terms and conditions of attendance

These terms and conditions of attendance set out the legal terms and conditions for the purchase of a ticket for the event offered on this website between the contracting party, Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH, hereinafter referred to as ‘dena’, and the attendee. 

By purchasing a ticket on the website, the attendee agrees to these terms and conditions of attendance in their current version. 

2. Conclusion of the Contract

By entering all the required data and clicking the ‘Book with fee’ button, an offer to enter into a contract will be made. This can be accepted by dena, but there is no obligation to do so. The attendee will receive a confirmation e-mail from dena accepting the offer. 

Upon acceptance of the offer, a contract will be concluded between the attendee and dena and the attendee is obliged to pay the ticket price. 

3. Billing and payment

After booking, the attendee will receive an invoice, which must be paid within 14 days of receipt. Payment must be made by bank transfer only. Payment after the payment date stated on the invoice shall automatically result in payment default. In this case, dena reserves the right to charge reminder fees. 

4. Passing on and commercial resale

The commercial resale of tickets is not permitted. Tickets can be transferred under the following conditions: 

If attendance by the attendee is not possible, a replacement can be nominated. To do so, the attendee must inform dena by email in good time, but no later than five working days before the event date.

5. Cancellation and refunds

Tickets cannot be returned. In individual cases, a free of charge cancellation request can be made by email, stating the reasons for cancellation. dena will review the request and decide whether to refund the ticket price at its own discretion.

6. Disclaimer

Attendees attend the event at their own risk. 

dena shall only be liable for damages caused intentionally or through gross negligence for

a) damages resulting from injury to life, body or health; 
b) damages arising from the breach of a material contractual obligation. Material contractual obligations are obligations without which proper performance of the contract would not be possible and on the fulfilment of which the other contracting party may ordinarily rely. In the event of a breach of material contractual obligations, dena's liability for damages in cases of simple negligence shall be limited to the amount of damage typically foreseeable at the time the contract was concluded. 

dena shall not liable for damage to, loss or theft of personal items belonging to attendees.

7. Cancellation of the event

dena reserves the right to cancel or postpone the event if there are unforeseeable circumstances (e.g. force majeure, official orders). In the event of cancellation, the ticket price will be refunded to the attendee’s payment account. No additional costs (e.g. travel expenses or accommodation costs) will be reimbursed. 

8. Photo and video recordings/press

Photographs and videos will be taken during the event and used for documentation and advertising purposes. By attending our event, you agree that photos and video recordings of this event may be published in television recordings, on our website, in printed media and on social networks, and may be used free of charge. Representatives of the press may be present at the event. These persons are individually responsible for their actions.
