dena is responsible for designing, planning and implementing the 2026 North Sea Summit, together with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action

dena was commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action to design, implement and prepare the follow-up work on the 2026 North Sea Summit. It also oversees the accompanying energy policy process. In addition, dena initiates, supports and promotes offshore cooperation activities. The focus is on the expansion of offshore wind power and the necessary cross-border interconnectors. dena will provide the support for the offshore activities of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action in terms of expertise and content throughout the duration of the project.
dena identifies suitable concepts for the North Sea Summit. Participatory methods are primarily used to achieve the ideal involvement of all relevant stakeholders in the participating countries. dena also facilitates the accompanying process to reach a consensus for the summit declarations by organising events using participatory approaches. Visibility is given to the offshore cooperation through communicative means so that the cooperation has the greatest possible impact. To this end, dena is developing a communication concept.
