Our mission

Digitalisation is an essential part of the energy transition. The Future Energy Lab makes it possible for solutions for applications in the energy industry to be designed, demonstrated and pursued in pilot projects in the field of digital future technologies. The Future Energy Lab serves as a lever for an agile innovation process by involving the market players themselves in the process.

 

In general, Germany needs to position itself even more strongly as a hub of innovation in the area of digitalisation in the energy industry. If support in terms of communications is strong, it will translate into increased public interest in and a greater understanding of digitalisation in the energy industry. The project also aligns with the German government’s goals of investing in and establishing future technologies. 

Our approach

The Future Energy Lab creates a physical location as a central hub for all topics relating to digitalisation in the energy sector. The lab is a meeting place for application-oriented people, entrepreneurs, experts from the energy and digital economy, representatives from politics and relevant federal ministries and, last but not least, regular citizens.
