Berlin, Germany, 26 September 2024. The first decisions have been made: 13 companies have the chance to win an Energy Efficiency Award (EEA) this year. The nominated companies are examples of innovative entrepreneurial behaviour that successfully promotes the energy transition and climate protection. With their projects and concepts, they show how greenhouse gas emissions can be reduced and how the transformation of industry to climate neutrality can succeed.
The EEA 2024 awards ceremony will take place during the dena Energy Transition Congress on 11 and 12 November in Berlin. The award is under the patronage of Dr Robert Habeck, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, and is presented in four categories that reflect the broad spectrum of corporate climate protection, from the use of renewable energies and system integration to digitalisation, cooperation and comprehensive transformation concepts. In addition, a special prize of 5,000 euros will be awarded to one small or medium-sized company out of the 100-plus companies that entered. The nominated companies in the individual categories are:

About the Energy Efficiency Award
The Energy Efficiency Award (EEA) from the German Energy Agency (dena) was launched in 2007 and has since established itself as one of the leading awards in the field of energy efficiency. Every year, companies that contribute to energy saving and the reduction of carbon emissions through innovative measures are honoured. Over the years, the award has proven to be a platform for best practices and a driving force for sustainable business. With a wide range of categories, the competition recognises large companies as well as small and medium-sized enterprises. The EEA is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). KfW is a premium partner and sponsor.
