We are a large team of experts from more than 30 nations holding a wide range of qualifications. Our objective as Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena) – the German Energy Agency – is to build a climate-neutral society by leveraging our collective knowledge, strong commitment and receptive attitude.

Our vision is to shape a liveable, climate-neutral future together. We use our expertise to promote the transformation of the economy and society towards climate neutrality in Germany and internationally.

In our projects, we focus on solutions that can be realised in practice in an economical, environmentally friendly and socially just way. We promote innovations so that sustainable markets can emerge from them. We take a holistic view of the restructuring of the energy system. To this end, we contribute our broad professional expertise, work in an integrated manner, network a wide range of stakeholders and create spaces for exchange. As a federal company, we are committed to the common good. We are politically neutral and independent and act in a unifying and transparent manner.
