Switching to heat pumps with contracting
Optimal, high-quality systems for apartment buildings and office buildings
Goal: Accelerating the deployment of heat pump systems in existing multi-family homes and commercial buildings through energy services and integrated quality management tools
Topics: Buildings, Business models, Heating transition, Generating and distributing energy
Runtime: September 2025 to February 2029
Our task: Optimised heat pump systems
Converting the heat supply in buildings to renewable energies with heat pumps is an essential key to achieving the climate targets and realising the heat transition. Our task is to overcome hurdles and develop suitable structures, services and tools to support the acceleration of optimised heat pump systems.
Our approach: energy service models and tools
- Development of energy service models with heat pump systems: Contracting models can overcome financial, structural and technical obstacles and enable the widespread use of heat pump systems. Transparent models ensure fair conditions for all parties involved.
- Development of tools for optimised heat pump systems: These tools should ensure an optimised design and installation of heat pump systems. This is done by taking into account building characteristics, the adaptation of existing heating components, legal requirements (e.g. noise) and system integration (e.g. photovoltaics, solar) as well as through continuous optimisation of operation.
