Fundamentals and significance of data rooms for the energy industry

Digitalisation is a crucial building block for the decarbonisation of the energy system. Cross-sector data exchange promises to accelerate the transformation process and increase market efficiency. In order to test the necessary structures for efficient and secure data exchange, a reference architecture for an energy data room was developed and implemented in the dena-ENDA project. By focussing on a specific use case, it was possible to clarify technical challenges in detail and demonstrate how data exchange can be realised using a data room.
