In November 2022, the German-Polish Energy Platform published a comparative study of energy communities, examining existing concepts, solutions, and business models in Poland and Germany, and highlighting best practice examples. The most important results of this analysis have been summarised in a factsheet.

Both countries recognise the importance of energy communities for a modern, decentralised energy system and are continuing to develop the necessary framework conditions. The factsheet contains suggestions and recommendations for further developing the regulatory framework.
