The stakeholders who use the Biogasregister fulfill different roles in the biomethane verification process. Each role has different tasks - and requires different functionalities and rights. The following is a brief overview:
As the person feeding biomethane into the natural gas grid, you can use the register to document the production criteria in the register and pass on quantities to your customers.
The feeding company is the company that feeds the biomethane into the natural gas grid in accordance with the feed-in contract. As the feeding company, the plant is under your company account.
You set the quantities and also allocate the criteria and accompany the greening process. You incur costs when setting quantities.
You must appoint an assessor to confirm the criteria. You can find all registered assessors in the list of auditors.
You can then transfer the quantities to or from your buyers and/or end customers.
If the activities in the Biogasregister are carried out by a service provider commissioned by you, this is not a problem. All your service provider has to do is register a user who has access to your company.
By using the Biogasregister, you as a producer are flexible in the marketing of your product. As a trader can prove the origin of the biomethane to every end customer by means of the register extract from the Biogasregister, the purchase represents no risk for him and offers maximum efficiency in sales.
As a trader, you can have the proof of purchased quantities transferred to you in the register. The account system makes it easy to “transfer” proofs from one account to another. It is also possible to create several sub-accounts for greater clarity. This means you always have an overview of your certificates.
The Biogasregister offers traders the advantage of a compact, recognized and comprehensive proof of biomethane. This simplifies trading activities considerably and traders can concentrate on their core business. You can find an overview of the different products in the product matrix.
As an actor supplying biomethane to end customers, you physically hand over the biomethane to the exit point and also create the corresponding register statement. To do this, you select the corresponding quantity with the required criteria profile from your account in the register. In the check-out dialog, enter the recipient's data and create a register statement in pdf format. You can easily hand this over to the recipient.
The register extract and delivery document together then serve as proof of compliance with the requirements of the relevant legislation.
For end customers, the register extract offers a simple and reliable way of providing proof of origin and quality. Together with the proof of delivery, proof of compliance with legal requirements can be provided.
With the extract from the biogas register, end customers receive officially recognized and fully traceable proof of the biomethane quantities acquired.
This proof is recognized by all public authorities and guarantees fast and cost-efficient processing when claiming subsidies.
Auditors play one of the key roles in the biogas register. They first audit the biomethane plant itself and then the quantities and qualities of biomethane produced. The biomethane producer normally approaches them and requests an audit of their biogas plant. This is carried out by the assessor on site and the results are made available in the biogas register. The use of the Biogasregister is free of charge for auditors.
Notes for auditors
In order to enable a quick review and verification of submitted plant and operational audits, dena has prepared a document with recommendations for the preparation of the reports.
It contains all the essential criteria for a plant or operational audit as well as recommendations for a compact and comprehensible structure of audit documents.
