Register management
What are dena's tasks?
The operation of the Biogasregister by the German Energy Agency (dena) includes a wide range of tasks that are carried out by our team.
German Energy Agency
The German Energy Agency (dena) is the competence center for energy efficiency, renewable energies and intelligent energy systems. dena's aim is to ensure that energy is generated and used as efficiently, safely, cost-effectively and climate-friendly as possible, both nationally and internationally. To this end, dena cooperates with players from politics, economy and society.
Tasks
dena operates the German Biogasregister as the register manager. The tasks of the register management include
- Supporting users of the system
- Quality assurance as part of the verification documentation
- Registration and administration of users
- Provision and further development of the technical system
Due to its structure, dena is independent of the players in the biomethane industry. It was therefore appointed as a neutral registrar.
