Working together towards climate neutrality

The platform

In the German-Polish Energy Platform, dena and KAPE are working together on projects to promote the energy transition in both countries and in the border region.

The energy agencies of both countries are pooling their expertise and networks in order to facilitate the exchange of experience on topics of common interest and to develop cross-border projects in cooperation with cities and companies in both countries. The aim is to promote understanding of the respective implementation of the energy transition between Poland and Germany through concrete cooperation on common challenges and to create a common approach on the path to climate neutrality.

The German Energy Agency (dena)

The German Energy Agency (dena) is a competence centre for applied energy transition and climate protection. dena analyses the challenges of a climate-neutral society and supports the German government in achieving its energy and climate policy goals. Since its foundation in 2000, dena has been developing solutions, putting them into practice and bringing together partners from politics, business, science and all sections of society - both nationally and internationally. dena is a project company and a federally owned public enterprise. Its shareholders are the Federal Republic of Germany and KfW Bankengruppe.

Krajowa Agencja Poszanowania Energii S.A. (KAPE)

The Polish National Energy Saving Agency KAPE, based in Warsaw, aims to support energy-efficient activities in line with the objectives of sustainable development. It is mainly active in the industrial, construction and renewable energy sectors. KAPE achieves this goal by providing advice and services to large and small companies and public institutions. It does this by providing comprehensive and independent advice and industrial audits, designing modern buildings, carrying out building audits, advising local authorities on the introduction of a low-carbon economy and running international and national educational projects. The agency also advises the Polish government and is involved in a number of international and European projects.
