German-Polish Energy Conference 2023
The fourth German-Polish Energy Conference took place on 31 August 2023. Participants from both countries came together in Szczecin, Poland, to discuss the impact of EU energy policy measures on cross-border cooperation between Poland and Germany. The German-Polish Energy Platform also played a role here.
Around 130 participants from the public sector, companies, and other institutions from both countries gathered at the Maritim Centre in Szczecin to discuss the impact of EU-level energy policy measures on cross-border cooperation between Poland and Germany. Participants also had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with specific cross-border energy supply projects and to exchange views on topics such as energy efficiency, hydrogen and renewable energies in the context of bilateral cooperation.
During their presentations, Dr Rita Ehrig (Team Leader, Renewable Heat) and Anna Wasielewski (Project Manager, German-Polish Energy Platform at dena) provided an overview of the current status of EU legislation, emphasising its importance for bilateral cooperation. They used the example of the German-Polish Energy Platform to highlight the opportunities and possibilities of cross-border cooperation.
The conference, which was fully booked, was organised by the IHK Neubrandenburg, the IHK Ostbrandenburg and the Northern Chamber of Commerce, together with other partners. The programme is available on the IHK Ostbrandenburg website: https://events.ihk-ostbrandenburg.de/dtpol-energiekonferenz23
