About the Project

The German Energy Agency (dena) has developed the “biogaspartner” project in collaboration with partners from industry. The project brings together market players along the entire biogas feed-in value chain. They are supported in their activities to shape the market. dena takes on the role of moderator. It provides a platform for the procurement and processing of information and its national and international dissemination. With its market-oriented approach, the project supports the industry players in their goal of establishing biomethane as an integral part of the future energy mix.

Through online and face-to-face meetings as well as working groups with biogas partners, dena promotes an intensive exchange on current topics. Joint statements and background papers are also published in this way. One of the most important annual publications is the “Branchenbarometer Biomethan“.

The project also provides information on current topics relating to biomethane via a newsletter, mailings and LinkedIn.

The constantly updated feed-in atlas provides an overview of realized and planned biomethane processing plants in Germany, both with and without feed-in into the gas grid.
 

The annual “Biogaspartner annual conference” brings together current topics from the biomethane market and facilitates exciting discussions between experts from politics, business and research.

Since 2012, dena has published the annual “Branchenbarometer”, which provides data surveys, assessments, opinions and forecasts from industry players on developments, opportunities and challenges in biomethane.
