TÜV SÜD has many years of international experience in the field of energy certification and certifies in the areas of green electricity, biogas/biomethane, biofuels, green hydrogen and also renewable chemistry. Certifications are offered along the entire value chain from production to the consumer.
With the "GreenMethane" and "GreenHydrogen" services, TÜV SÜD also offers certification for the production, trading and distribution of biomethane and green hydrogen.
The certification service is aimed at: operators of plants for biomethane/hydrogen production or feed-in, biomethane traders, suppliers of gas products with a biomethane content.
Due to the spatial decoupling of production and consumption, documentation and proof of the condition of the plant and raw material use are becoming increasingly important. The TÜV SÜD standards "GreenMethane" and "GreenHydrogen" offer a reliable system for proof, auditing and certification. Market participants certified according to the GreenMethane standard benefit from the regulations of the EEWärmeG, the EEG and the Biofuel Sustainability Ordinance.
