Promoting the export of German know-how

With its Renewable Energy Solutions Programme (RES Programme), dena supports German companies wishing to establish climate-friendly technologies relating to renewable energies, energy efficiency, smart grids, storage and technologies such as fuel cells or power-to-gas in overseas markets.

The companies receive financial and content-related marketing support and build a reference plant as their own contribution. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action is supporting the programme as part of the Energy Export Initiative.

Jump-starting German technologies in overseas markets

dena RES Programme

Renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies developed in Germany are also set to take off in other markets. With the RES programme, dena and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) support German companies with starting off their export activities.

The energy transition is an export success; there is great interest in German renewable energy technologies. But entering a new market often involves risks that must be recognised and compensated for. Under the RES programme, companies can demonstrate their expertise, set up a demonstration plant at a representative location - the journeyman's piece for their market entry - and implement information, training and publicity measures with the support of dena.

RES Programme provides technical and financial assistance

Many companies need advice or financial support when taking their first step into foreign business. The RES programme helps in both areas. German companies receive content-related and financial support in planning and implementing a sustainable market entry concept.

The programme, which is supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action as part of the Energy Export Initiative, is implemented by dena. The total volume per project for training, information transfer and public relations work is up to 100,000 euros.
