European Power Grids – Infrastructure across borders
Well-developed European energy infrastructure enables a secure and cost-effective energy system. However, cross-border expansion of electricity networks is not yet progressing to the necessary extent. The EU Commission has therefore announced a Grids Package to promote cross-border and coordinated network expansion in the EU. Together with experts from European countries we will discuss how current processes can be further developed, how national planning processes can better account for interconnectors, and how cross-border projects can be realized more quickly.
