Philipp Pfefferle

Head of Advocacy and Communications, BASF Renewable Energy GmbH

Philipp Pfefferle works at BASF Renewable Energy GmbH in Ludwigshafen, the global unit responsible for BASF Group’s energy procurement. He leads the areas of Advocacy, Communications, and Special Projects and also served as interim Head of Strategy and Technology.

Before that, he served as Senior Manager at BASF Management Consulting, leading strategic projects to advance BASF’s renewable energy activities, including the company’s participation in offshore wind developments.

Before joining BASF in 2020, Philipp Pfefferle worked as a management consultant within the energy sector. He brings more than eleven years of experience at the intersection of energy policy, corporate communications, and regulatory affairs. From 2022 to 2024, he also served as a board member of WindEurope, the world’s largest wind energy association. 

Pfefferle holds a master’s degree in business administration from Trinity College Dublin.
