Goal: every year, the Energy Efficiency Award honours companies that implement exemplary energy-efficient and sustainable projects to transform the industry

Topics: Energy efficiency, Funding, Industry, Transforming the economy and society

Runtime: since 2007

Our mission

Since 2007, dena has been honouring outstanding projects by national and international private or public companies in the field of energy efficiency and climate protection with the renowned Energy Efficiency Award (EEA). The aim is to place particularly successful implementation projects in the areas of energy efficiency, renewable energies and climate protection at the centre of public and professional interest. The focus is on projects that are already energy efficient and climate friendly, as well as those that are designed for sustainability. In addition, the Energy Efficiency Award recognises innovative concepts on these topics.

Our approach

The specific design of the award is further developed and adapted every year. The aim is to motivate other companies to implement solutions in their own sphere of influence. The projects receiving the award demonstrate clearly how a contribution to reducing energy consumption and harmful emissions can be achieved locally. They act as a showcase for creative approaches and measurable successes as well as an inspiration for other players. The award is under the patronage of Dr Robert Habeck, who is currently the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
