The Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena) – German Energy Agency – has opened a new application period for the Renewable Energy Solutions Programme. The dena RES Programme helps German companies in the renewable energy sector to implement reference projects in international markets. The deadline for applying to take part in the 2018 RES Programme is 3 April.
Applicants can submit project proposals in the fields of solar energy, bioenergy, geothermal energy, wind power or hydroelectric power. Hybrid solutions, combinations of renewable energy sources with energy efficiency measures or storage technologies are also acceptable. Companies from the fuel cell industry may also qualify for the RES Programme. As well as the technical concept, the market entry concept of the projected showcase project is of decisive importance for the application. It must do justice to the special features of both the technology and the chosen target market.
The Renewable Energy Solutions Programme
dena’s RES programme is being funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) as part of the 'Energy Export Initiative'. Selected projects are financed 45 per cent by dena and 55 per cent by participating companies. Under this co-financing scheme, project costs of up to €235,000 can be covered.
dena acts as an experienced partner to support participants while building important networks and implementing the project. Over the past 13 years it has implemented around 80 market development projects in almost 60 countries in partnership with German companies and corporate consortia.
