dena Start-up Bus: applications now accepted

Start-up companies can present themselves at the E-world trade fair / Free bus trip, accommodation and participation in the trade fair programme

With its ‘Start-up Bus’, the Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena) – the German Energy Agency – is offering new companies in the Berlin area the chance to travel to E-world, the energy trade fair in Essen, in order to present their ideas and business models for the energy transition. Start-ups can apply to take part up to 20 January via the website www.dena-startup-bus.de.

The journey lasts two days, from Tuesday morning, 7 February, to Wednesday evening, 8 February. At E-world, various time slots have been made available for meetings with investors and industry representatives as part of the programme for start-ups – for example, business speed dating and the presentation of the Energy App Award. The dena exhibition stand is available for appointments and discussions with participants.

‘We’re looking for innovative entrepreneurs who’d like to contribute to the success of the energy transition,’ says dena’s Chief Executive, Andreas Kuhlmann, who will also be taking part in the trip. ‘The dena Start-up Bus brings Berlin’s pioneering spirit together with the traditional energy industry. The concept absolutely took off, right from the very first trip. 30 start-up founders were able to make a lot of valuable business contacts and develop their ideas in a very short time. We’re looking forward to the applications.’
