dena and State Grid China consolidate partnership

The Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena) – the German Energy Agency – and China’s national grid operator State Grid Corporation of China have agreed to develop common solutions for the energy transition and the expansion of renewable energy sources.

The Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena) – the German Energy Agency – and China’s national grid operator State Grid Corporation of China have agreed to develop common solutions for the energy transition and the expansion of renewable energy sources. Their collaboration will include exchanging ideas on the integration of renewable energy sources in electricity grids and energy systems. The agreement was made by both companies at a meeting in Frankfurt on 16th June. It was signed by Dr Shu Yinbiao, Chairman of the State Grid Corporation of China, und Andreas Kuhlmann, dena’s Chief Executive.

“State Grid China is a strong partner when it comes to finding solutions for the energy system of the future. I’m delighted with this collaboration and I’m sure that we can learn a lot from each other,” said Andreas Kuhlmann.
