Impressions from the Business-to-Government Dialogue India

During the two-hour event, country representatives and German business representatives have the opportunity to share and exchange information on the applicable legal and economic conditions in areas of renewable energy and international partnerships. The dialogue is an official part of the supporting program of the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2022 and the Berlin Energy Week.
The B2G dialogues offers the following advantages:

Background:
India is the fastest growing economy in the world and has a high demand for increasing energy supply, making it even more important to adapt energy systems to limit greenhouse gas emissions. India aims to achieve net-zero by 2070. Therefore, the Indian government has set an ambitious target of generating of 500GW renewable energy by 2030. With this target, India aims to meet 50% of its energy needs from renewable sources. Similarly, India is investing in its hydrogen capability and aims to build a green hydrogen production capacity of at least 5 MMT per year by 2030.
