
















With the support of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy and in cooperation with the Eastern Committee of the German Economy and the Delegation of the German Economy for Central Asia dena organized the German Energy Dialogue on 11 and 12 July 2017 in Astana, Kazakhstan. The event was under the auspices of the Ministry for Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
More than 260 experts from the fields of energy, industry and trade, building sector, manufacturing, mobility and renewable energy attended the event and highlighted their standpoints through 12 discussion platforms.
Among the 80 high-ranking speakers were Uwe Beckmeyer, Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Economics and Energy, Gunther Adler, State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of the Environment, Kanat Bozumbaev, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Alik Aidarbaev, Vice-Minister for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasachstan and Dr. Albert Rau, Member of Parliament Kazakhstan.
The importance of German-Kazakh cooperation for the global energy market also underlined the participation of Federal President Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier on the second day of the event. In his speech, he emphasized that Germany would also like to be committed and reliable partner for Kazakhstan over the long term.
