[Translate to English:] Die Bundesregierung und die Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena), der Bundesverband Erneuerbare Energie (BEE), der Bundesverband Solarwirtschaft (BSW-Solar) und eclareon veranstalten am 20. und 21. März 2017 die dritte internationale Energiewende-Konferenz im Auswärtigen Amt, den Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2017 (BETD). Unter dem Motto „towards a global Energiewende“ treffen sich internationale Entscheidungsträger der Energie- und Außenpolitik, Industrie, Wissenschaft und Zivilgesellschaft sowie die wichtigsten globalen Energieexperten. Sie besprechen die aktuellen Entwicklungen der Energiepolitik, innovative Politikmechanismen, neue Investitionsmöglichkeiten und zukünftige Geschäftsmodelle, die sich aus der globalen Energiewende ergeben.

In order to aid the current positive development of the fundamental shift in the energy systems worldwide, in which last year more money has been invested globally in renewable energy sources than in all fossil and nuclear technologies combined, the German Federal Government invites the international energy elite to the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue for the third time.

The Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue is the pivotal international summit of the German gov-ernment facilitating in-depth, high-level dialogue on energy transitions, which will be a fun-damental shift towards an affordable, secure and ecologically friendly energy system based on renewables, energy efficiency as well as innovation.

BETD Livestream

In the year of the German G20 presidency, the conference aims to help reach the objectives and targets of the Paris Agreement and the UN sustainable development goals (SDGs) of the Agenda 2030. The conference will explore how to attract investment flows into public and private energy markets, with a view to achieving sustainable energy transition through renewables and energy efficiency.

This year the German Energy Agency will once again organise a wide range of Side Events for the visitors of the BETD conference. The official BETD Side Events comprise Guided Tours as well as B2G-Dialogues and are going to take place in Berlin and surroundings.
