Andreas Kuhlmann: "Integrated energy is the next big thing"

In an interview with the Energie & Management magazine, dena's Chief Executive Andreas Kuhlmann comments on the energy transition and dena's responsibilities.

With the onset of the second phase of the energy transition, new challenges have to be tackled. In Andreas Kuhlmann's opinion, one of the key issues is finding a way to link up the plethora of individual components in various sectors in an efficient and logical manner. According to dena, the "Agency for the applied energy transition", this means more cross-sector cooperation, for instance in respect of the energy world's digitisation or the key issue of "integrated energy" at this year's Hanover Trade Fair. dena's tasks include the implementation of concrete national and international projects as well as moving the focus on innovations and potentials to provide important impulses in the political arena, says Mr Kuhlmann.
