Global Alliance Powerfuels partners are advancing the market development of Powerfuels in German "Regulatory Sandboxes of Energiewende"

Federal Economics Minister Peter Altmaier recently announced the winners of the "Ideas competition for the Regulatory Sandboxes of Energiewende". In the 20 regulatory sandboxes throughout Germany, new hydrogen technologies will be researched on an industrial scale and in a real environment. Enertrag and Uniper, two members of the Global Alliance Powerfuels are involved in the implementation of the projects.

dena and State Grid China consolidate partnership

The Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena) – the German Energy Agency – and China’s national grid operator State Grid Corporation of China have agreed to develop common solutions for the energy transition and the expansion of renewable energy sources.

dena signs cooperation agreement with Chinese industrial corporation

dena signed a cooperation agreement with Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group, one of China’s largest industrial firms, on 7 November in Berlin. Under the terms of this agreement, dena will provide consultancy services on energy efficiency in existing facilities, among other things. There are also plans to launch joint pilot projects for the green and low-emission use of coal in China.

Energy efficiency technologies: Sino-German networking in Chengdu

The “Sino-German Forum for Energy Efficiency” took place in Chengdu, China, on 5 November 2016. Attended by around 300 participants, the event was organised by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the Sichuan Bureau of Expo Affairs and by dena. The main focus was on the transfer of technology and expertise between German and Chinese companies in the area of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.
