Start Up Energy Transition (SET) is comprised of the annual SET Award, an international competition for start-ups and young companies worldwide, who are working on ideas affecting global energy transition and climate change. There are five different categories applicants can present their projects in, all with the aim of clean energy promotion. SET 2018 was launched at COP23 in Bonn. On 23 June 2016, the Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena), German Energy Agency’s “Refurbishment Heroes” were awarded a prize for the very first time.
