Peter Christian Baggesgaard Hansen was appointed Deputy Director General of the Danish Energy Agency in 2024. He has the overall responsibility for Subsoil Ressources and Green Utilities.
Peter Christian Baggesgaard Hansen holds a Master’s Degree in Intellectual History and Political Science from Aarhus University and an additional education in Journalism and Communications from the Danish School of Media and Journalism. Prior to his position at the Danish Energy Agency, Peter Christian Baggesgaard Hansen headed the divisions of Gas, PtX and Risk Preparedness at the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities and, prior to that, he held several positions at the Danish Ministry of Taxation, most recently as Head of Division.
