12.05.2015 Parliament confirms EU directive on biofuels

In a second reading, the European Parliament has recently confirmed the proposal for an amendment of the directive relating to the quality of petrol and diesel fuels and the directive on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable energy sources. Although the Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena) – the German Energy Agency – welcomes the fact that the Parliament and the Council have come to an agreement, dena is of the opinion that the regulations fall short of the overall aim. read more
