Export steigern – Zukunft sichern. This slogan, which means "Increasing exports – Securing the future", is the motto used by dena for the support provided under the scope of the Renewable Energies Export Initiative to German companies from the renewables industry, both in opening up foreign markets and in their export activities.
Although "renewables made in Germany" are among the world leaders in an international comparison, their contribution to the world market is comparatively low. The main aim of the Export Initiative is therefore to increase the proportion of exports from Germany in the long term. Three lines of support have been identified for this:
The Export Initiative coordinates a network of decision makers from the political arena, public institutions and industry representatives which helps to create strategic approaches, tapping synergies and providing valuable contacts, information and possible solutions to problems.
The Renewable Energies Export Initiative provides information on the current potential of the sector and on the conditions underlying foreign target markets.
The Renewable Energies Export Initiative presents renewable energy technologies from Germany to foreign markets, together with ways of using them, under the slogan renewables made in Germany:
The German Bundestag commissioned dena with the development and implementation of the Renewable Energies Export Initiative in 2002. At the end of 2005 the coalition partners resolved that its activities should be intensified.
The Renewable Energies Export Initiative is supported by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
