Building Energy Balance Assessment Information Portal  Page

dena has launched the "Building Energy Balance Assessment" information portal. The new portal is intended to help satisfy the increased demand for information arising from the introduction of Germany's energy saving regulations (EnEV 2009) and the associated standards, such as DIN V 18599.

Centre of Expertise for Contracting  Page

The German government, the federal states and local authorities spend up to 3.6 billion euros a year on energy supply for their properties. The use of contracting can reduce energy costs in public buildings by 30 to 50 percent every year.

Concerted Action Page

The EU "Concerted Action" (CA) project promotes the implementation of the European Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) and in so doing makes a major contribution to achieving EU energy-saving targets. The Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH (dena) – the German Energy Agency – has been actively involved in CA activities since 2005.

Database of Experts for Energy-Efficient Building and Refurbishment Page

dena's new database of experts allows owners of residential and non-residential buildings to search for particularly highly qualified specialists in energy-efficient building and refurbishment, or Efficient House experts, and for issuers of Energy Performance Certificates right across Germany.

dena Efficient House Quality Mark Page

The dena Efficient House Quality Mark is awarded to newly built and refurbished homes which have particularly low energy requirements. A plaque attached to the building ensures that energy-efficient houses will be instantly recognisable.

The project includes the pilot projects "Efficient Homes" and "Efficient Schools", in which residential buildings have been refurbished to a high level of energy efficiency since 2003 and municiple buildings - primarily schools - since 2003.“
