Concerted Action Page

The EU "Concerted Action" (CA) project promotes implementation of the EPBD Directive and thus makes an important contribution to achieving the energy saving targets set by the Kyoto Protocol. As the German coordinator, dena is actively involved in the CA.

dena's Efficient House quality mark Page

dena's Efficient House quality mark is awarded to newly built and refurbished homes which have particularly low energy requirements. A plaque attached to the building ensures that energy-efficient houses will be instantly recognisable.

Efficient homes Page

Old buildings which have been refurbished in an energy-efficient fashion require a lot less energy than comparable new buildings. dena’s project "Efficient Homes" proves in more than 375 buildings that energy-efficient methods of construction can reduce the energy requirements of a building by up to 87percent on average.

Efficient schools Page

There is enormous potential to save money in non-residential buildings including, as is to be shown in this project, in schools. Energy-efficient refurbishment to a level which is significantly better than that of new buildings can release this potential. Taking the experiences made in its model project "Efficient Homes" (residential buildings) as a basis, dena is starting a new model project entitled "Efficient Schools" in March 2007.

Energy Performance Certificate for buildings  Page

As energy prices rise, energy-efficient buildings are becoming ever more attractive. The Energy Performance Certificate documents a building's energy quality and provides specific modernisation hints for saving energy. As a tool which enhances market transparency, the Energy Performance Certificate is stimulating investment in refurbishment.

Energy Services in Public Properties  Page

Urgently needed investment in efficiency becomes feasible in state-owned properties if contracting is applied. dena helps the state, Länder and local authorities to draw up and present corresponding invitations to tender.

Energy-efficient building in China  Page

China is seeing continuous growth in energy demand, including in the building sector. dena is assisting investors and decision makers in the planning and construction of climate-friendly, energy-saving buildings to promote climate protection and energy efficiency.
