biogaspartner – the Biogas Feed-in Platform Page

In a joint initiative, dena and its partners have developed the biogas partnership project, the aim of which is to build up a leading international platform for the input of biogas into the natural gas network.

Building Energy Balance Assessment Information Portal  Page

dena has launched the "Building Energy Balance Assessment" information portal. The new portal is intended to help satisfy the increased demand for information arising from the introduction of Germany's energy saving regulations (EnEV 2009) and the associated standards, such as DIN V 18599.

Car Labelling Page

The aim of the "Introductory Platform for Car Labelling" is to inform users, opinion makers and end customers about Germany's revised ordinance on the energy consumption labelling of passenger cars. The focus here is on a coloured CO2 efficiency scale which will be mandatory on new cars from 1 December 2011.

Centre of Expertise for Contracting  Page

The German government, the federal states and local authorities spend up to 3.6 billion euros a year on energy supply for their properties. The use of contracting can reduce energy costs in public buildings by 30 to 50 percent every year.

Combined Heat and Power Generation Page

The cogeneration of electricity and heat (combined heat and power, or CHP) contributes greatly to an improvement in energy efficiency at the production stage. CHP can also be used to reduce costs both in the industrial sector and in private households.

Concerted Action Page

The EU "Concerted Action" (CA) project promotes the implementation of the European Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) and in so doing makes a major contribution to achieving EU energy-saving targets. The Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH (dena) – the German Energy Agency – has been actively involved in CA activities since 2005.
